HISTORY / COMMENTARY: I have said enough about Jimbo on this web site that maybe it should be JimboJones.com. I can't help it, I just love the guy. These are the best recordings of Jimbo's best performances singing the best kinds of songs for his voice that I could find. If I had never heard any of these bands or knew who any of these people were and just happened upon this collection of Jim singing these songs, I think I would go crazy trying to find out who it was so I could get more music from him. I might contact STEELY DAN to see if they stole songs from this guy. He sounds as natural on their stuff as they do. A singer has to be very, very versatile to sing all these different kinds of songs so well and so easily.
